We would like to update you on some positive work recently undertaken by your local Neighbourhood Policing Team.
Hello everyone, As your local Beat Officer, I wanted to provide an update on some of the work that has been carried out recently within our community. Over the past few weeks, I have been conducting regular high-visibility patrols across the area, focusing on locations highlighted by residents as concerns, including parks, town centre areas, residential streets, and known anti-social behaviour hotspots. This has led to 1 vehicle seizure and the offender issued with a ticket for no insurance and no drivers licence. This has also led to 2 arrests for drunk and disorderly behaviour, assaults on emergency workers and public order. Multiple cans and bottles of alcohol have been seized within the Public Space Protection Order zone using the powers that gives us. Multiple stop searches under S1 pace and S23 misuse of drugs acts respectively. I have also been engaging with local residents, businesses, schools, and community groups to better understand the issues affecting our neighbourhood and to work together on finding long-term solutions through surgeries in the town centre and arranged meetings involving Thanet District Council and local communities.
I have also supported our response teams attending multiple emergency calls. Why this matters: We would like to thank members of the public for their support and for reporting concerns to us. Information provided by residents helps us identify issues and take positive action within our neighbourhoods. If you have any concerns about crime, anti-social behaviour, or issues affecting your community, please continue to report them via the appropriate channels. Thank you for your continued support. | ||
